Recognition – Law degrees in India should be duly approved by Bar Council of India (BCI). In absence of this mandatory approval, degree holders won’t be able to practice in the courts & also remain ineligible for further higher studies. Diplomas & certifications don’t need BCI approval but should be offered by a recognized institution.
Infrastructure – College infrastructure also plays an important role in the overall grooming of the students. In law domain, moot courts (virtual courts) in the campus enable students to experience the real court environment to evaluate their knowledge & facts before moving to the real courts.
Interaction – Legal studies are different from other streams in a way that there is no particular rule book or theories to win a legal battle. Books can certainly help them with the prescribed norms / guidelines but the sense of analysis & judgment evolves when students regularly interact with lawyers, judges, jurists & other people those who have worked in the system..
